Why Is It Okay To Take Some Time Off?

Hey you! So today, I bring you a very different kind of post. As you may have noticed, it has been a very long time since I’ve posted anything here, and as much as I love blogging, I had to take some time away from it. Today, I’ll be sharing with you why is okay to take time off and why you should. So, if you want to know more, just keep on reading!

First things first, this is the time that I’m writing my master thesis, which is a very long history to tell and a lot of details to keep on the mind (without too much detail, I’m a graduated Biochemist, and my Master is about cancer and nanomaterials, which I love!). So, that takes a lot of time and effort to write it.

Secondly, I’m planning my wedding (while writing my Master thesis) and it can be a hand full. There are always things to do and, now, a month away from it, I can start to feel the anxiety.

Lastly, there was a time that I was not feeling too inspired and actually considered changing my uploading schedule to once a week, which seems so little time. I’ve decided that I’m keeping my uploading schedule and I’m so happy about it.

Now, why do I feel like taking some time away from blogging was important? It did allow me to see thing clearly and to fully acknowledge that I love blogging and I do want to keep doing it. And, even though we live in an era where there are a lot of blogs out there and keeping one up is a lot of work, if you love it, just keep doing it. Mental health is also such a huge topic and, being online sharing your thoughts, hope, and dreams, might be overwhelming but, keeping a positive mind, and when needed taking some breaks from all, might also be a good strategy.

Finally, without no more rambling, I’m back and I’m here to stay. Plus, after my Master is done, I’m planning to start a Youtube channel (big adventure, I know). I know that some great things are coming my way and I cannot wait to be sharing all of it!

How have you been feeling lately?

Everyday Skincare

Hey you, today I’ll be sharing my everyday skincare routine. For an everyday basis, I like to keep things quite simple but I also feel that this gives me the hydration that I need. Every other day, I like to do a face mask and exfoliate my skin. I also change my skincare quite often.

I have very sensitive skin, that at the same time is quite oily, so it is difficult to find products that will not irritate my skin, but that at the same time will control my oils and nourish my skin. So, these are the products that I am currently loving.

L’oreal Skin Perfection Soothing Gel Cream Wash – I like to use this product either for removing my makeup and then I use it a second time just for cleaning my skin. This was is suited for sensitive skin. Since this is a very moisturising face wash, at first I did thought that I would not like it, due to my oily skin. However, I love it. I find that this keeps my oils controlled and nourishes my skin. Highly recommended.

L’oreal Micellar Water – This is one of the most known skincare products available at the drugstore. After I cleanse my skin with the L’oreal Gel, I like to go in with the micellar water just to make sure that all the dirt from my skin is removed. This is a product that I love and it does last for a long time, since I use it everyday.

Biotherm Biosource Invigorating Toner – I use this product in clean skin, to replace some hydration and to prepare it for moisturizer. This is a product that I have used for years now, and I still love it.

Diadermine Lift Intense Eye Care Cream – Never too young for an eye cream! I like to use this after toning the skin. This is a new discovery. So lightweight and so nourishing for the undereye area. Trully amazing.

L’oreal Extraordinary Rebalancing Oil – This product I quite change it up. I either use it before or after moisturizing. Althought this oil has such a strong scent to it, I quite like it, and after I’m done with all my skincare, I can barely smell it. I does rebalances your skin hydration.

Diadermine Essential Care Hydra Balance Day Cream – This is one of the final steps of my skincare. I really like this one because it’s designed for oily skin, and it does make my skin matte while hydrated. After this, depending on the days, I finish with a rose water face mist.

This is my current skincare routine. Leave in the comments which are your favourite products. I hope you like it.
Love you,

May favourites

Hey you.

Since it is the very begginning of May, I’ll be sharing with you my favourites. These products are products that I have been loving throught and using everyday.

Feel free to leave any comments sharing what your favourite products are.

Yachiyo Nars Brush – I have been loving this brush for bronzing and even blush. It’s a must have for a beautifull all over bronzer.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in the shade Luminous Flush – This one is a surprise. Hourglass in known for their luminous products, and this blush, of course has a sheen to it. Since I have oily skin and large pores, I did thought that this blush wouldn’t fit my skin texture. However, I love it. It is just a beautiful sheen on the skin.

The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer in the shade 1.5 Natural Beige – This product is a korean product, and like most of those products, it lives to its hype. It is a very nice and natural looking concealer that will provide a nice coverage.

Avon Extra Lasting Lipstick in the shade Forever Pink – Although Avon is not an easy brand to get hold of, their products are really nice. This lipstick is a very natural pink shade with a little bt of a sheen to it. Almost looks like your lips but better.

Kiko Take It All Beauty Kit in the shade Rosy Tones – I love a really good face pallete, and sometimes it’s hard to find one where you’d use all shades included. This one, you will use. The bronzer is most of the times a problem, but this bronzr isn’t too orange, and it will give that perfect sunkissed shade. The eyeshadows and the blush are also very nice. Overall, a beautiful pallete.

So, here it is, my May favourites. I hope you love these blogposts, because I do, and would love to keep doing them every month.

I’ll see you soon.
Love you,
